  • Wix is free, but if you want to add custom domain and extra features, than you will have to upgrade your site with a Premium Plan.

6. Ghost

Ghost is also an open source platform. it's available in two versions, self-hosting and hosted Ghost Pro, which starts at $19 per month.

If we talk about performance, ghost platform is based on a modern Web technology called Node.js, which means it performs better even under heavy loads. 

Cons:
  • Ghost is slow to add new features. And currently there are no third-party plugins.

7. Weebly

Weebly is a hosted platform similar to Squarespace and wix. It allows you to build your website using drag and drop tools. You can also create ecommerce site with Weebly. 

Weebly's basic plan is free. But, if you want to add extra features, custom domain and more space, you will need to upgrade your account. Basic paid plan starts from $8.00/month.

Cons:
  • Weebly's built in features are very limited. 
  • Exporting your site from Weebly to another platform is difficult.
